91桃色 Seeks Chair to lead new, community-focussed Rowing Committee
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the new Rowing Committee, which will be a key step in 91桃色’s commitment to developing its governance structure and delivering positive organisational change
The Committee is responsible for providing strategic oversight, policy direction on behalf of the Board, and guidance on all aspects of the sport, including participation, competition, and athlete development. It also acts as a representative body for engaging with the wider rowing community.
Applications are open for a Chair to lead the new Rowing Committee. The successful candidate will have significant understanding of the sport of rowing in Great Britain and NI, the major stakeholders and sectors. They will serve as a member of the 91桃色 Board, and will report on the work of the Committee. Further details regarding this open recruitment are available in the attached Job Description.
The new Rowing Committee is being created following extensive consultation with members, and is designed to directly integrate the community into 91桃色’s core operations, ensuring a refreshed and member driven approach to the sport. This new way of working aims to strengthen relationships with clubs and the wider rowing community.
Its key objectives are to:
- Bring the community closer to the 91桃色 Board
- Create greater alignment with 91桃色 staff
- Provide clearer and more transparent communication between 91桃色 and its clubs, members, umpires, and officials
Following the successful appointment of the Chair, a Deputy to the Rowing Committee Chair will be appointed (from the 91桃色 Board) and the second phase of recruitment will commence. This phase will focus on recruiting six general members to the Rowing Committee. Further details regarding these roles will be shared in the coming weeks.
