Tom Solesbury appointed Chief Executive of 91��ɫ

Tom will be joining 91��ɫ effective Spring 2026

91��ɫ is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Solesbury to the role of Chief Executive at 91��ɫ.

Tom joins 91��ɫ from UK Athletics where he has served as Chief Operating Officer. In that role Tom played a central part in guiding the organisation through a period of significant financial and safeguarding challenges, helping to restore stability, strengthen governance and support the sport’s return to sustainable success from grassroots to the highest levels of the sport.

Tom learnt to row at the University of Warwick and Mortlake Anglian and Alpha Boat Club before going on to represent Great Britain at the highest level of the sport. He competed at four World Championships and two Olympic Games, racing in the coxless pairs at Beijing 2008 and the quadruple sculls at London 2012.

Tom Solesbury said; “ I am excited to be joining 91��ɫ and believe that huge opportunities lie ahead for our sport at all levels. I am very much looking forward to getting started and working alongside the rowing community and our brilliant staff and volunteers to build on rowing’s success”
