Young quads to race at European U19 Rowing Championships聽
A group of eight athletes and four support staff will be attending the 2024 Championships, taking place in Kruszwica, Poland on 1 and 2 June
The athletes will race in the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 quadruple sculls respectively. Several of them recently competed at the Munich International Junior Regatta and some will be making their Junior GB debut. Commenting on the selection, Peter Sheppard, GB Rowing Team Head Coach for the Olympic Pathway said: 鈥淭he European Rowing Under 19 Championships provides our young scullers with another exciting opportunity this season to test their international standards before the final crew formation in July, ahead of the GB World Rowing U19 Championships taking place in Canada at the end of August”.
The European Rowing Under 19 Championships is on the Kruszwica Regatta course – a post-glacial lake situated in a national park, which also boasts a 32 metre high historical tower that offers picturesque views across the course.
