Commenting on the team selection Louise Kingsley, 91桃色 Director of Performance said: 鈥淲e have put in some great performances this season which have seen us top the medal table at the European Championships and win the overall World Cup trophy, with medal table topping performances at World Cup II and World Cup III. Now, our attention shifts to the World Rowing Championships in Belgrade where we aim to set ourselves up for Olympic and Paralympic success by qualifying as many boats as possible for the Paris 2024 Games.鈥

Looking to defend their 2022 World Champion titles will be the Lightweight women鈥檚 double sculls (LW2x) of Emily Craig and Imogen Grant and the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four (PR3 Mix4+) of Frankie Allen, Giedre Rakauskaite, Ed Fuller, Morgan Fice-Noyes and cox, Erin Kennedy. Both crews are unbeaten this season and recorded World Best times at World Rowing Cup II in June in Varese.

Also unbeaten this season and out to defend their 2022 World title are the Men鈥檚 four (M4-) of Oli Wilkes, David Ambler, Matt Aldridge and Freddie Davidson. In addition, returning World Champion boats from 2022 are the Women鈥檚 four (W4-) of Heidi Long, Rowan McKellar, Helen Glover and Rebecca Shorten and the Men鈥檚 eight (M8+) of Rory Gibbs, Morgan Bolding, Jacob Dawson, Sholto Carnegie, Charlie Elwes, Tom Digby, James Rudkin, Tom Ford and cox, Harry Brightmore, who recorded a British record time at World Cup II.

Having missed the World Championships in 2022, Double Paralympic Champion Lauren Rowles returns with Gregg Stevenson in the PR2 mixed double sculls (PR2 Mix 2x). This new combination has made a strong impact this season, with an unbeaten record and achieving World best times at the European Championships in Bled and then again at World Cup II in Varese.

Ollie Wynne-Griffith and Tom George are back in the Men鈥檚 pair (M2-) having built on their World bronze in 2022 with a silver at the 2023 Europeans, winning gold and recording a World Cup best time, making them the fastest British men鈥檚 pair ever in Varese at World Cup II and winning gold at World Cup III.

Following one of the stand out performances of the season with their World Cup III gold in Lucerne, the Women鈥檚 Eight (W8+) of Natasha Morrice, Rebecca Edwards, Lauren Irwin, Karen Bennett, Esme Booth, Emily Ford, Hattie Taylor, Annie Campbell-Orde and cox, Henry Fieldman will aim to maintain the momentum at the World Championships. Emily Ford and Esme Booth will also once again be doubling up to race in the Women鈥檚 pair (W2-).

World Cup III silver medallists, Callum Dixon, George Bourne, Matt Haywood and Tom Barras are unchanged in the Men鈥檚 quadruple sculls (M4x). While Lola Anderson returns to the Women鈥檚 quadruple sculls (W4x) with Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott and Georgie Brayshaw, who will be looking to build on the silver medal and British record achieved at World Cup II and their silver medal at World Cup III.

World bronze medallist Benjamin Pritchard returns to race in the PR1 men鈥檚 single sculls (PR1 M1x), Paralympic Champion Ellen Buttrick combines with Charlotte Coburn in the PR3 Women鈥檚 Pair (PR3 W2-)* and European bronze medallists Annie Caddick and Sam Murray return in the PR3 mixed double sculls (PR3 Mix 2x).
*GBR was the only entry in this event so Ellen and Charlotte will travel as reserves and compete in the spares race.

In the small boats, World Cup III silver medallist in the quad, Lucy Glover, will race in the Women鈥檚 single sculls (W1x) and double World Cup bronze medallist Olivia Bates will take to the water in the Lightweight women鈥檚 single sculls (LW1x).

Aidan Thompson will return with Tokyo 2020 Olympian John Collins in the Men鈥檚 Double sculls (M2x) and Kyra Edwards and Saskia Budgett reunite in the Women鈥檚 Double Sculls (W2x).
