The seven coaches selected for the programme are Charlotte Taylor (Reading University BC), Lewis McCue (University Rowing Aberdeen) and Sam Tuck (University of Surrey BC), 91桃色 World Class Start coaches Nicola Benavente (Nottingham) and Dan Harris (Bath) and funded HPPC performance coaches Peter Hardcastle (Imperial College BC) and Ross Hunter (Leander Club).

In total, 47 new coaches from 17 summer and winter Olympic and Paralympic sports have been welcomed onto the 18-month programme, which is designed to help coaches maximise their potential and impact.

Peter Sheppard, Chief Coach for U23s and Juniors supported the nominations, saying: 鈥淗aving seen coaches on the previous two cohorts experience this programme, I am confident it will bring significant value for the coaches鈥 development and provide them opportunities to challenge themselves and their programmes.鈥

Louise Kingsley, Deputy Director of Performance Pathways and Paralympic Programme, said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to have such a high calibre of coaches in our performance pathway and to have so many accepted on to this programme; it鈥檚 particularly exciting to have two talented female coaches in this cohort. This is a fantastic opportunity for all the coaches to receive some individualised coaching support and development.鈥

It is the third cohort of the programme, which has helped nearly 100 performance foundation level coaches finesse their practice so far.

Participants will benefit from:

  • one-to-one coach developer support
  • cross-sport communities of practice and learning
  • online social learning environments
  • workshop delivery from industry experts to expand knowledge and challenge thinking
