91ÌÒÉ« to host SAS Ranking Points Index event on Facebook

91ÌÒÉ« and , the Official Analytics Partner for 91ÌÒÉ«, announce SAS’s naming rights to 91ÌÒɫ’s Ranking Points Index on Wednesday, 20 March, which will be  at 2.15pm.

Hosted by BBC Radio Berkshire’s Tim Dellor, a panel of experts will explain what the SAS Ranking Points Index is, why it has been developed, how it will positively impact all levels of club rowing across the country, and the role of SAS’s software and services.

The panel includes Scott Comber, Professional Services Director, SAS UK & Ireland; Annie Hairsine, 91ÌÒÉ« Senior Project Manager, Technology Projects and Phil Clements, Chairman of the National Competition Committee at 91ÌÒÉ«.  The event will be introduced by 91ÌÒÉ« CEO, Andy Parkinson and, following the panel discussion, the audience can also hear from Brendan Purcell, 91ÌÒÉ« Director of Performance on the GB Rowing Team’s preparation for this season and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

All affiliated 91ÌÒÉ« competitions now run under the new Competition Framework, which has been developed to help create closer, fairer and more exciting racing.

All 91ÌÒÉ« members who race in affiliated competitions have a Personal Ranking Index (PRI) made up of Ranking Points which are given for racing and beating crews. Ranking points are awarded for heads and regattas, and for sweep and sculling. Coxes are also awarded ranking points depending on how well their crew does.

The event will be broadcast live on 91ÌÒɫ’s Facebook page from 2.15pm on 20 March, with a Q&A session from 3pm.
