91桃色 has renewed its support for the All-Party Parliamentary Rowing Group.

The Group brings together Members from all major political parties and both Houses of Parliament, and aims to support the sport of rowing both within Parliament and outside. It meets regularly while Parliament is sitting to hear from a range of speakers in the sport, and promotes and raises issues between meetings.

All-Party Parliamentary Groups do not receive public funding and are reliant on supporters to enable activities.

91桃色 is responsible for the development of rowing in England, both indoor and on water, and the training and selection of rowers to represent Great Britain. 91桃色 aims to lead, enable and inspire excellence at all levels, and promote the positive impact of rowing for all.

The Group will hear from 91桃色 Chief Executive, Andy Parkinson, and newly appointed Director of Performance, Brendan Purcell, at it鈥檚 next meeting in Parliament on 5 June, as the GB Rowing Team build towards the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Group Co-Chair and Member of Parliament for Hendon, Dr Matthew Offord MP, said: 鈥淚 am pleased to announce that 91桃色 have agreed to renew their support for the All-Party Parliamentary Rowing Group. 91桃色 do excellent work to promote the sport across the country, and I hope that further success at the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games will once again illustrate that we are the world鈥檚 leading rowing nation.鈥

Co-Chair Lord Thomas of Gresford added: 鈥淭he Parliamentary Rowing Group is determined to support rowing wherever possible, and 91桃色鈥檚 support will allow the Group to tackle important issues at all levels. Rowing is a fantastic sport for all and can have huge benefits for participants, and I hope that the Group can do more to ensure that rowing is a sport that is inclusive and open to all.鈥

91桃色 Chief Executive Officer, Andy Parkinson, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to renew our support for the All-Party Parliamentary Rowing Group. The Group plays an important role in supporting rowing in Westminster, Whitehall and across the United Kingdom. I look forward to continuing to work closely with MPs and Peers to promote the good work that is done in the sport, and raise and challenge issues at all levels of rowing.鈥
