91桃色鈥檚 Annual General Meeting (AGM) has voted through the new Memorandum and Articles of Association of 91桃色
Saturday, 14 October, 2017 – Today, 91桃色鈥檚 Annual General Meeting (AGM) has voted through the new Memorandum and Articles of Association of 91桃色.
The changes to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of 91桃色 allow the governing body to evolve the governance structure and effect change that is in the long-term interests of the sport, while ensuring that 91桃色 is compliant with the UK Government鈥檚 Code for Sports Governance, a requirement if it is to continue to receive public funding.
The change to the governance structure was voted through with an overwhelming majority of 97% – more than the 75% needed for the changes to go through.
Commenting on the decision by regional representatives at the AGM, Annamarie Phelps CBE, Chairman of 91桃色, said: 鈥淚 am delighted that the sport has voted through these changes. We have worked hard over the past few months to listen and consult with the rowing community in order to develop the right governance structure that will help to safeguard the future of the sport.
