91桃色 and Cancer Research UK have agreed a new partnership which kicks off at the 91桃色 Indoor Championships on Saturday, 10 December at the Lee Valley VeloPark.

91桃色 will support Cancer Research UK to help raise money for the charity and to promote an active lifestyle through indoor rowing.

The partnership will centre around two main rowing events: the 91桃色 Indoor Championships on Saturday, 10 December at the Lee Valley VeloPark and Cancer Research UK鈥檚 The Great Row, an indoor rowing challenge that launches in early 2017 and culminates with The Cancer Research UK Boat Races on Sunday, 2 April 2017.

is a festival of indoor rowing, open to anyone who wants to race on an indoor rowing machine over 500m, 2,000m or as part of a relay team. The Cancer Research UK team will be at the event to meet competitors and spectators alongside the athletes from Great Britain鈥檚 national team, who are back in training after a hugely successful time on the water in Rio at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Great Row will launch in January 2017 and is open to anyone who wants to start their year with a challenge on the indoor rowing machine.

Both events will be raising money for Cancer Research UK to fund life-saving research for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Kenny Baillie, Director of Partnerships and Communications at 91桃色 commented: 鈥淚t is a privilege for 91桃色 to be working with Cancer Research UK to raise funds for such an important cause. This year鈥檚 91桃色 Indoor Championships will be a great event to launch our new partnership and generate momentum into the new year for The Great Row.

“Indoor rowing is the perfect workout for people of all ages and backgrounds and these two events offer the opportunity for anyone to get involved with the sport, from complete beginner to seasoned pro. We are very much looking forward to working with Cancer Research UK.鈥

Caro Evans, head of high value supporter partnerships at Cancer Research UK, said: 鈥淥ne in two聽people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer so it鈥檚 vital that we pull together and do everything we can to raise money for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. This is why we鈥檙e so very excited to kick-off our new partnership with 91桃色. We hope it鈥檒l inspire even more people to get involved in The Great Row and set themselves an indoor rowing challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK鈥檚 life-saving research.鈥
